Standard sizes rarely fit older or characterful houses well, bay windows, uneven walls and non-standard door widths all need joinery made to measure rather than adapted afterwards. I take the actual measurements from your home before building anything.
The finish is done to match what's already there wherever possible, whether that's matching an existing skirting profile or getting a fitted piece to sit level in a floor that isn't quite flat.
