LGR carpentry and joinery is the data controller for the information described on this page.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote for work and carry it out. That is usually:
You give us this when you call, text or send an enquiry. We do not buy contact details from anyone else.
- Your name
- Your phone number and email address
- Your address, where we need to visit or carry out work
- Details of the job you are asking about
- Any photographs you send us
- Invoices and payment records if you become a customer
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, visit and quote for the job, carry out agreed work, order materials, invoice you and keep the records the law requires. We do this because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract with you, to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
We do not share your information with anyone else except where we have to, for example a supplier delivering materials to your address, a subcontractor working on your job, or our accountant and HMRC for tax records. Anyone we share it with only gets what they need for that purpose.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere. Records of completed work, invoices and payments are kept for six years, which is the period HMRC requires for business records.

This site is deliberately simple, and that is good for your privacy:
- We do not use advertising cookies
- We do not use analytics that identify you
- We do not sell or pass on visitor data
- If you send the contact form, the details go directly to LGR carpentry and joinery so we can reply
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. To do any of that, just contact us using the details above and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
