Common questions
Do you take on high-end and one-off pieces?
That is most of what I do. Media walls, runs of fitted wardrobes into sloping eaves, library shelving and open-plan kitchens are all set out from the room itself rather than adapted from a standard unit, and fitted by the same person who made them.
Will you work from an architect's or interior designer's drawings?
Yes. Send the drawings or the schedule over and I will price from them, flag anything that will not work on site before it becomes a problem, and build to them.
Do you work for builders and developers as well as private clients?
Yes. I get brought in by other builders and contractors on their own jobs, and I am happy to fit around a programme and work alongside the other trades on site.
How long does a bespoke piece take?
It depends on the piece and the finish, but there is a site survey, a making stage and a fitting stage, and I will give you realistic dates for each rather than optimistic ones.
Can you match existing joinery in an older house?
Yes. Skirting and architrave profiles, window mouldings, barge boards and finials are taken off the originals and matched so new work sits alongside old without standing out.
